Das erf\u00fcllte Bewegungsausma\u00df der Gelenke ist bei der Tretbewegung \u00fcberschaubar. Am \u00e4u\u00dferen Ende des Kurbelarms befindet sich die Umlaufbahn der Pedalachse. Auf der dreht sich der fixierte Schuh – radial zum Drehmittelpunkt (Tretlager) – im Kreis. Bei einer 175mm Kurbel hat dieser Kreis einen Durchmesser von 35cm.<\/p>\n

Die vorliegenden Ma\u00dfe, Ausma\u00dfe, Abst\u00e4nde und Umst\u00e4nde beim Radfahren sind also relativ n\u00fcchtern und \u00fcberschaubar.
Es werden also wahrscheinlich keine gro\u00dfen \u00dcberraschungen w\u00e4hrend des Pedalierens zu erwarten sein….<\/p>\n

Genauigkeit<\/strong><\/p>\n

Einzig das Aus- und Einrichten der Pedalplatten steht diesen repetitiven Grundvoraussetzungen im Weg, und zwar ordentlich!
Auf dieser gleichbleibenden, permanent wiederholten Tretbewegung k\u00f6nnen sich Symptome einschleichen. Vor allem, wenn die Einstellungen unsachgem\u00e4\u00df sind. Damit sich eben keine Symptome weiterentwickeln k\u00f6nnen, ist eine mangelhafte Pedalplattenposition zu verhindern!<\/p>\n

5 Metatarsals<\/strong><\/p>\n

The five metatarsal bones are relevant for the pedal cleat position, they deliver the central structure of the foot.
In ortopedic language they are named as \u201cossa metatarsalia\u201d (Latin). The individual metatarsal bones are numbered from the inside to the outside, i.e. from the big toe to the little toe: Os metatarsale I to V.<\/p>\n

The first and inner metatarsal bone (Os metatarsale I) is connected to the big toe, the little toe forms the fifth and outer toe (Os metatarsale V).<\/p>\n

MTP – METATARSOPHALANGEAL

The front center of the foot consists of 5 metatarsal bones (ossa metatarsalia). Localized in the caput, the metatarsal caput is located in the joint of the bone.<\/p>\n

The metatarsophalangeal joints are given numbers from 1-5 for orientation.
The medical designation is given Roman numerals from I-V.<\/p>\n

Example:

The foot consists of 5 metatarsal bones (ossa metatarsalia) in the front center. These are localized at their so-called caput. The prominent caput of Os metatarsale 1 (on the inside of the foot behind the big toe) is the inner bony support point; 
The caput of Os metatarsale 5 (on the side of the little toe) is the outer bony support point.<\/p>\n

Together with the tuber calcanei on the heel bone (calcaneus), they form a support surface in the shape of a triangle. These are the support points of the foot skeleton. The footprint itself has a much larger support surface, which is created by the soft tissue present.<\/p>\n

V-II-A gait analysis<\/strong><\/p>\n

The natural foot position determines the alignment of the cleats. A distinction is made between three orientations – rotated outwards (V) or inwards (A) and parallel (II).<\/p>\n

If you look at your own feet from above, you may recognize your individual anatomy<\/p>\n

By analysing your gait, observing your own tracks in the sand, recognizing wet footprints on the tile floor, visualizing the running track in the snow or mud, the preferred foot position can be visualized.<\/p>\n

If the heels are closer together and the toes are further apart, they are in a V-shape.<\/p>\n
