Function-related lines and angles allow precise orientation between cleat and shoe.
FLOAT & ANGLES
Thanks to transparency, the entire sole of the shoe can be viewed. The angles to the pivot point can thus be perceived much better and as the distance to the origin increases, it becomes just as easy to see.

Visibility
The majority of modern cycling shoe soles are dark to black, due to the carbon structure or plastic. This is why the lines on the tool are light colored. The grid should be recognizable on every shoe sole.
Recommendation for light-colored shoe soles:
Masking tape or gaffa tape is easier to read.
